At HANTAŞ Mine Shaft There are two groups of stones named Kefken White and Kefken Yellow, and these stones undergo all kinds of surface treatments at our factory.

Your stone quarry, which has been operated during both the Roman and Ottoman periods, has played a significant role throughout its long history, contributing to the architectural structures of past civilizations. The fact that it has continued its activities for the last 10 years demonstrates how crucial the durability and sustainability of your quarry are.
The restructuring carried out in 2014 has been a turning point for the future of your mine. Through this comprehensive transformation, it has evolved into a well-equipped and innovative enterprise, aligned with the evolving needs of the industry. Simultaneously, operating with a new vision has enhanced its competitive strength.
During the restructuring process, your mine's operations have been equipped with a professional management approach. As a result, significant advancements have been achieved in the areas of productivity and efficiency, leading to more organized and effective operations. Simultaneously, a sustainable business model that takes into account environmental and social responsibilities has been adopted.
The renewed management team, with their expertise and experiences, has infused new momentum into your mine, ensuring greater efficiency in operational processes and boosting employee motivation. As a result, your mine has continued its journey as a strong and stable industry leader, maintaining its position while moving forward.
The mine continues to contribute to the local economy by not only extracting precious stones but also creating employment and enhancing the well-being of the local community. Additionally, it takes care to preserve the environment by showing respect for historical and natural heritage.
Located near the Pink Rocks area on the Kefken coast of Kocaeli, within a pine forest region, it lies in the Cebeci area. This region is one of the places with interesting geological structure. The rocks, which are soft underwater, gain hardness after being extracted. During the Ottoman period, they were cut into rectangles by human labor and transported to Istanbul by sea. They were used in the construction of many mosques, including the Sultanahmet Mosque, and in the construction of the Rumeli Fortress. Due to the presence of a hot spring in our quarry area, our stone exhibits the characteristics of travertine, making it suitable for both domestic and international markets, intended for use in new architectural projects as well as the restoration of historical artifacts. With this stone, we plan to become a prominent player in the industry in the future.
